Major League Baseball's All-Star Weekend takes the Big Apple by storm in 2008. Yankee Stadium, in its 84th and final year, will host the Mid-Summer Classic and all the big-time happenings surrounding the All-Star Game. The All-Star Game is held each July – The All-Star Game venue is chosen by MLB and traditionally alternates between the two leagues every year. As of July 2004, for the 2003-2004 seasons, the MLB team that won the All-Star Game was to be given home-field advantage for the World Series. Previously, home-field advantage in the World Series alternated between the two leagues each year.
