The UFC 81 “Breaking Point” will feature a match between former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar, a former professional wrestler and a newcomer to UFC. The event will also include a bout between Tyson Griffin and Gleison Tibau, Alan Belcher and Ricardo Almeida, and Thales Leites and Nate Marquardt.
Brock Lesnar made his MMA debut in June at K-1 Hero’s Dynamite! USA where he submitted Min Soo Kim early in the first round.
Lesnar, a former World Wrestling Entertainment performer who also had a short stint with the NFL's Minnesota Vikings, was one of the sport's top free agents after a 69-second submission victory over Min Soo Kim in a K-1 HERO'S Dynamite!! USA event this past June. The UFC officially announced that the 6-foot-3, 265-pounder had joined the organization last month during a UFC 77 pay-per-view broadcast.
Frank Mir is a former world champion who is coming off a big win over Antoni Hardonk, and he’s looking to get his career back on track while Lesnar’s looking to walk into the UFC and prove what type of fighter he’s gonna be by trying to knock him off.
